The campsite was opened originally by Barry and Barbara Ashworth in 1994. They transformed a working farm into the spacious rural campsite we have today. Every tree and hedge carefully chosen and placed into their perfect location. Soon the campsite became a thriving place to visit in central Lower Normandy.
Since our arrival here at the campsite in December 2018, we have not stopped with the updates and new areas. Being the third owners here we decided it was time for a major overhaul. The old toilet block was long past its best and we believed it needed the most of our time on it. A all new area was chosen for its central location and we wanted to make the showers a talking point and installed rain shower heads with a good generous flow of hot water. It was important that we had a larger family/disabled washroom too.

New Sanitaire
The first item that was a must was a totally new shower and toilet area
Bar stripped and re-built
The old bar was very tired and desperate for a rebuild
Games Room updated
The old red parachute covered room needed a totally new look

As we started to clear "The Old Bar and Kitchen", it became apparent that a dust over would not be enough. So we gutted them all and totally rebuilt then inside the existing buildings. The bar was made to look clean and modern but still in keeping with a Normandie barn feel. The kitchen was doubled in size and all new cooking equipment installed.
The games room was looking very old and sad. I totally new fresh Normandie look was needed. Gone has the red parachute material and replaced with white walls and exposed dark wood beams. Now it looks clean and good enough to used by all age groups again. Inside you will find a pool table, dart board, table football, a small lending library of books.
Many more new ideas to be made during 2022.
